Android: Clear history - how to remove URLs

On Android, you should also regularly delete your browsing history and cookies to prevent any malicious software from damaging your phone. Since you can use different browsers and the deletion process works differently for each browser, we've put together a little overview of how to do it.

How to easily clear browser history on Android

At the moment, there are three major browsers on Android: the internal browser, Chrome and Firefox.

1. On the internal browser, you can clear the history by opening it and then pressing the Settings button. After that, select "Settings" from the menu.
2. Under "Privacy and Security" you will find the item "Clear History". Furthermore, you should delete all files from the local cache and remove the cookie data.
3. Confirm the process by pressing "OK".
4. Under Chrome, open the settings by tapping the three small dots in the upper right corner and then continue to "Settings".
5. Under Privacy, you can now delete all browser data. Dabei können Sie auswählen, ob nur der Verlauf oder auch Cookies und der Cache gelöscht werden sollen.
6. Auch unter Firefox öffnen Sie die Einstellungen über die drei Punkte. Hier entfernen Sie die Browserdaten unter „Private Daten löschen“.
7. In einem Menü können Sie nun auswählen, welche Daten gelöscht werden sollen. Am besten aktivieren Sie alle Zeilen. So wird Ihr Browser komplett bereinigt.
