Create Firefox backup - how to back up your data
It's worth to create a Firefox backup regularly to save your Firefox data and settings. This way you will always have all bookmarks, saved passwords and your profile at hand. This is advantageous, for example, if you move to another PC with your browser.
How to create a backup of your Firefox data
Better create one backup too many than face the loss of your data.- All bookmarks, saved passwords and other data and settings can be found in a special folder on your PC. This is called "Profiles." You can find it in C:\User\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox.
- You can also find the folder directly through Firefox by searching for it from the Firefox address bar. This is usually the faster way.
- To do this, enter the search term about:support and go under "Profile Folders" to "Show Folder".
- To back up your data, copy the folder "Profiles" to an external backup, for example, a USB stick or an external hard drive that you have connected to the PC in advance.
