Tolino no longer responds - what you can do

If your Tolino suddenly stops responding, this can have various causes. First, check whether the battery is sufficiently charged and charge the device if necessary. A restart can also be helpful. Sometimes, however, only a reset helps with problems.

When the Tolino no longer responds: Possible causes and solutions

Sometimes it can happen that the screen of the Tolino freezes and the device no longer responds to inputs. There are several causes for this:

1. Possibly the battery is empty and the screen stopped at the last page displayed.
2. Test this by charging the device and check whether the Tolino works normally again afterwards.
3. You can also try to restart the Tolino. To do this, press and hold the power button until the Tolino is turned off.
4. Then turn the device back on as usual.
5. Alternatively, perform a soft reset by holding down the reset button until the device restarts. If your Tolino does not have a reset button, press and hold the power button for ten seconds instead.

Hard Reset as the last option if the Tolino no longer responds

Should none of the described options lead to the Tolino running again, you can reset the device to factory settings. However, this so-called hard reset will delete all e-books on the device and also the settings. To perform a hard reset, you need to press and hold the volume down button and the power button at the same time to enter Recovery Mode. There, select the option "Factory Reset" and confirm twice with the power button. The reboot will then succeed with "reboot system now".
