The principle of Twitter is pleasantly simple. Nevertheless, there are sometimes moments when advanced features like threads come in very handy.

Twitter: How to create a thread

Create a thread as follows:

1. First, create a normal tweet. However, do not send this yet.
2. A plus icon will appear. Use this to add one or more tweets.
3. Post the thread normally at the end.

Threads have become increasingly popular in recent years because they allow long, coherent content. Combined with the character limit that was increased a few years ago, this allows for really detailed posts without losing the Twitter characteristic.
