Convert JPG to EPS - these are your options
An EPS file simplifies the insertion of graphics into a document. The successor to this file type is considered to be PDF, which is now used by default. EPS is considered obsolete, but is still used in some areas, so a conversion is necessary.
How to convert a JPG to an EPS file
An EPS file is saved in the PostScript language. The advantage of this format is that the objects are written independently of the output device. If you want to convert a JPG into an EPS file, there are several ways.- With the free tool PDFCreator you can convert a JPG file into EPS format.
- Download the software and follow the instructions to install it.
- Go to the JPG file and select the option "Print".
- In the print preview, click again on "Print" and then on "PDFCReator".
- After you have clicked again on "Print", you will be shown the settings of the PDFCreator.
- Now you can assign a title and press "Save".
- Select as "File Type" "Encapsulated PostScript File" or ".eps".
- Finally click again on "Save".
