Convert Word to JPG Mac - how to do it

If you have a Word document on your Mac that you want to convert to JPG format, this is not possible directly. Instead, it is necessary to save the Word file as a PDF first. How this works with on-board tools or additional software, you can read here.

How to convert files from Word to JPG on Mac

If you want to save a Word document as a JPG file, you have several options. Directly with on-board means, i.e. without the installation of additional software, this is possible on the Mac as follows:
  1. Open the Word document, click on "File" and select the option "Save as".
  2. Thereupon a new window will open, in which you please click on "Format" and select "PDF" from the drop-down menu. Confirm your selection by clicking "Save".
  3. Now open the created PDF file with the preview app by clicking it and going to "File" > "Open with" > "Preview".
  4. Now navigate to "File" > "Export" in the opened file, select "JPG" under "Format" and perform the conversion by clicking "Save".

Mac: More options to convert Word to JPG

If you use a PDF editor on your Mac, such as PDF24 Creator, the conversion of Word files to JPG format is also possible with these programs. All you need to do is open the Word document, click print and select PDF24 Creator as the printer. Once the file is opened with PDF Creator, please click on the disk icon, select "JPG" as the format and click "Next" and "Save" to convert it.
