Since the release of the first Star Trek season in 1966, a multitude of other Star Trek movies and series have been released. In order to properly follow their story, it is important to stick to a certain order when watching the movies and seasons.

The Star Trek universe includes not only several movies, but also various television series. Which is the correct order to watch the Star Trek movies and series, is thereby much discussed. While some say you should watch the movies and seasons in the order they were released, others recommend following the timeline of the story.This is the chronological order of Star Trek
To watch Star Trek chronologically, first start with seasons 1 to 4 of the Enterprise series, set in the years 2152 to 2155, before continuing with Discovery.The years 2265 to 2270 are again the content of "The Original Series" and "The Animated Series" and should be watched before the movies "Star Trek: The Film" to "Star Trek VI". Then continue with the following order in watching:- The Next Generation seasons 1-6 (2364 to 2369), Deep Space Nine season 1 (2369), The Next Generation season 7 (2370) and Deep Space Nine season 2 (2370).
- Followed by the film Star Trek VII: Meeting of the Generations, set in 2371, and the third season of Deep Space Nine (2371).
- The other seasons of Star Trek Deep Space Nine (4 -7) must then be viewed alternately with Voyager seasons 1 to 7.
- Finally, the film Nemesis and the first season of the series Picard.
