iPhone 11: Zoom - info on the operating aid

For people with a visual impairment, Apple offers various operating aids that you can activate via the settings of your iPhone 11. In addition to a voiceover function and a magnifier, a zoom function is also available. Learn how to set up the operating aid on your iPhone 11.

How to activate the zoom function on your iPhone 11

The zoom function is a screen magnifier that allows you to enlarge screen contents. Follow these steps to enable the operation assistance on your iPhone 11:
  1. Go to the settings of your iPhone 11.
  2. Tap the "Operation Assistance" item and then tap "Zoom".
  3. Activate the "Zoom" function using the slider.
By default, only an area of the screen is magnified and displayed in an extra window. You can use your finger to move the focus and thus select which section should be enlarged. The screen content outside the magnification window retains its original size. By double tapping the display with three fingers, you can turn the zoom window on and off.

Filter options - what you need to know

The zoom function can be customized via further settings. For example, you have the option to change the zoom factor and can thus display the screen content up to 1,500 percent larger. In addition to the magnification level, you can also choose between different display filters and contrast settings. Furthermore, you can determine whether you want to enlarge only an area or the entire screen.
