MHW: Iceborne beta officially confirmed - with date

The big expansion for Monster Hunter World, namely Iceborne, will be released on September 6, 2019. And for fans, things are about to get even better, as there will be an official beta phase before then. We've got the date.

On to the hoarfrost: thanks to Iceborne beta, PS4 players can get started as early as June.

Iceborne is hotly anticipated. The announcement of a beta comes just in time for the community.

MHW: Iceborne beta first exclusively for PS Plus members

The announcement was made via the official Twitter channel and contained two dates:
  • The beta starts on 21. June and ends on June 23 - but only members of PS Plus have access.
  • All other PS4 players may go from 28 to 30 June in the new world.
While there are thus two beta weekends for the PlayStation, Xbox players (just like PC players) go empty. Content-wise, the beta will include the three hunting missions that were already playable at E3 2019. The monsters here are (from easy to hard) the Great Jagras, Banbaro and Tigrex. For many players, this will be the first encounter with truly new monsters, as only the Greater Jagras appears in the base game. High download numbers are therefore pre-programmed. Das Hauptspiel Monster Hunter World wird benötigt, um an der Beta teilnehmen zu können.
