Dual Universe: Release schedule and alpha version officially announced

The universe is heavy in all media. Gaming is no exception and Dual Universe is another interesting title on the way. In the meantime, there are even concrete plans for the release.

No long wait: The release plans of Dual Universe sound quite ambitious.

Dual Universe: Release as early as 2020

Not least thanks to Star Citizen, the mammoth project par excellence, space games are on everyone's lips. Dual Universe also wants to enrich the genre. In Dual Universe you take care of building your own interstellar civilization. In the meantime, there is even a time frame for interested gamers to follow: The release of the finished game is to take place in 2021.The individual phases until then have also been set:

• The alpha phase 1 called "First Contact" started in November 2018.
• Alpha phase 2 is called "Dual Evolution" and started in the 1st half of 2019.
• In the second half of 2019, the third alpha phase "Alliances Shattered" appeared.
• Followed by this, it went from August 27, 2020 in the beta phase, which lasted about half a year until the game is ready for release.

This roadmap is of course, as always, to be taken with a grain of salt, as delays are normal. But at least it already gives a rough framework and that is also worth a lot from a marketing point of view. By the way, the alpha phase will be open to all backers and not only to those who have invested at least 120 Euros.
