Key Combination Shrink Screen - How to do it

Key combinations are an effective way to control various operations on your PC. There is also a keyboard shortcut for zooming in and out of screen content, which is a handy alternative to using the Control Panel.

How to shrink your screen using a keyboard shortcut

If you want to shrink or enlarge the contents of an application, you can easily do so using a keyboard shortcut.

• Shrink screen: Press the [Ctrl] and [-] keys simultaneously to reduce the displayed contents of the application to up to 25 percent of the original size.
• Enlarge screen: To zoom in to up to 500 percent of the application, press the [Ctrl] and [+] key combination until the desired size is reached.
• Reset to default size: Via the combination [Ctrl] and [0] you reset the screen content back to 100 percent of the original size.

In addition to the key combination, you can also increase or decrease the screen size in all applications, for example Chrome or Word, in the settings menu. In Word, you will find a bar at the bottom right of the screen to change the screen size. In Chrome, you can also adjust the screen size individually in the settings under the menu item "Zoom".
