Telekom: Change password - how to change the access data

You use the password to protect your Telekom mailbox from unauthorized access. That's why it's not only important to set a secure password from the start, but also to change it regularly. This works via the Telekom e-mail center.

How to change the password of your Telekom mailbox

You can change the access data to your Telekom mailbox via the account settings. There you have the option of adjusting your personal password as well as setting or changing a password for e-mail programs.

1. Call up the Telekom E-Mail Center in your browser and log in.
2. Click on the cogwheel icon in the navigation to call up the settings.
3. Select the "Passwords" category in the navigation on the left.
4. Here you can adjust the personal password or the extra password for e-mail programs. To do this, click either on "Password (web password) on "Change now" or on "Password for email programs" on "Change password for email programs".
5. Enter the new password in the input mask and repeat it again for confirmation.
6. Click finally on "Save".

Forgotten password - how to reset

If you have forgotten the password to your Telekom mailbox, there are several ways you can still log in. To do this, simply enter your user name when logging in and click "Next". You can then select an alternative to password entry via the "Other login options" button. For example, you can have an access code sent to a stored e-mail address or answer one of the security questions you have selected yourself.
