When concluding a new Internet contract, it is usually not entirely clear in advance which router you will now be sent to your house. Especially with Telekom, there are a number of possible routers to choose from when signing the contract. For laypeople, there is often no advantage or disadvantage to be seen in this selection.

With Telekom, you can both buy and rent a router. In the short term, renting is obviously cheaper, but you should not rush into it.

1. Not every model is available with all contracts.
2. For example, you can only rent or buy the Telekom Speedport Hybrid if you already have a MagentaZuhause tariff.
3. Alternatively, you can also grab the Telekom Speedport W 925V, which even comes with an integrated connection for ISDN systems and telephones.
4. If you don't need that, you'd better grab the Telekom Speedport Smart. This router scores especially with its high range and fast transmission rate.
5. On direct request, you can also have the AVM FritzBox 7590 delivered. Diese taucht in der Auswahl zwar nicht auf, ist aber ein spitzenmäßiger Router.
6. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass unterschiedliche Modelle auch unterschiedliche Preisvariationen im Kauf und in der Miete haben.
