WhatsApp: Send contact - how to share the info

The WhatsApp messenger allows you to chat and share content with other users of the app via your smartphone. This includes videos, links or photos, for example. If you would like to pass on the contact information to another friend, WhatsApp also offers you a function for this.

How to send a contact in WhatsApp

Normally, you add a new contact on WhatsApp using the corresponding cell phone number. However, this is not always necessary. If another of your friends already has the desired contact or vice versa, you can also share the contact information directly via a WhatsApp chat.

1. Go to WhatsApp and open the chat through which you want to share the contact information.
2. Tap then on the paper clip icon at the bottom of the text field. Here you now have several options to choose from, depending on the media you want to send.
3. Select the item "Contact" and select the desired entry. This will share all the information you have saved in your phone's address book to this contact.
4. Tap then on the "Send" icon.
5. Have you sent a contact in a chat and now want to send it to another, you can also forward this message.
6. Tippen und halten Sie hierfür die Kontakt-Nachricht im Chat und wählen Sie anschließend das „Weiterleiten“-Symbol mit dem geschwungenen Pfeil nach rechts aus.
7. Anschließend bestätigen Sie auch hier die Auswahl über das Senden-Icon.
