Windows 10: Set default apps and change them at any time

To get to the overview of default apps, proceed as follows:Open the Windows settings by pressing the key combination "Windows key" + "i".

1. Alternatively, you can also get to the settings by first clicking on the "Windows icon" in the taskbar and then on the "gear icon".
2. Then click on "Apps" in the opened settings and then on "Default apps".
3. You will now see a list of all default apps. If you have not yet set a default app for an application, you will recognize this by a gray field with a plus symbol. Click on the field next to the respective application to assign a new default app or to change an existing one.
