If you want to reset or change your phone, it is necessary to back up your data. Depending on the operating system, you can save them in a cloud of your choice or as a backup on your computer. Afterwards, it is possible to restore the data completely if this becomes necessary.

How to back up your phone data

Depending on the operating system on your phone, you have different ways to back up the data on the device. For example, you can backup to a cloud system or even to your computer.

1. If you want to backup with iCloud from your iPhone, then go to "Settings" > "Your profile name" > "iCloud" > "iCloud backup" > "Create backup now". Make sure you are connected to the Internet via your Wi-Fi network at all times.
2. Alternatively, connect your device to your computer and create the backup using the corresponding button in iTunes.
3. If you own an Android device instead, you can create a backup using a Google account. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Backup & Reset" > "Add account". This is only necessary if you have not yet set up a Gmail account on the smartphone. Finally, tap on "Back up my data" and activate "Restore automatically".
