If you are moving your games to a new computer, it is worth backing up your Origin game saves. This way, you don't have to download your game content again, but can simply move the game to the new location. This process saves time, so you can start playing Origin games right away.

How to back up your Origin game save

1. On a Windows computer, back up your Origin game save by first opening the "Electronic-Arts" folder. Depending on whether you want to copy the entire folder or just individual games, copy the entire folder or click on the individual subfolders. Find the "Saves" folders and copy them.
2. Now paste the copied folders in the desired location for the backup.
3. On the Mac, the easiest way to find the "Electronic-Arts" folder is via the Finder. Copy the main folder or the desired subfolders and paste them in the desired location.

Move the complete Origin game

1. If you not only want to backup your current game state, but move a complete Origin game, open Origin.
