Samsung Galaxy A80 Update - how to keep your phone up to date

To improve security or ease of use, or to introduce new features, Galaxy smartphones receive regular software updates. If you want to make sure your Samsung Galaxy A80 is up to date, you can manually check for updates via the settings as well as manage the update options.

Update Galaxy A80 - this is how it works

To prevent problems and possible security vulnerabilities, it is important that you keep your smartphone up to date.
  1. Swipe up or down with your fingers on the home screen to bring up the application screen.
  2. Call up the Settings app.
  3. Scroll down in the overview and tap on "Software update".
  4. Tap on the "Download and install" option. The Galaxy A80 will now check for available updates for Android.
  5. If an update is available, tap on "Install now". The software is then updated and the Galaxy A80 then restarts.

Set up automatic updates

So that you do not miss any updates, you can activate the automatic update function in the settings. The Galaxy A80 will then independently search for updates and install them.
  1. Call up the settings and navigate to the category "Software update".
  2. Activate the slider at the item "Automatic updates".
  3. You also have the option to specify when the updates should take place. Activate for this the slider at "Scheduled Software Updates" and set the times for the updates.
