Restore iPhone without iTunes
If you have problems with your iPhone or want to recover accidentally deleted files, you can restore your iPhone with iTunes. You can also use an iCloud backup for recovery. However, for this you need to have a backup created beforehand, and you also need to reset your device.
How to proceed if you want to restore your iPhone
Make sure you have a backup before resetting. You can see this under "Settings" > Your Name > iCloud > "Manage Storage" > "Backups".- Open the "Settings" and tap "General".
- Then select the item "Reset".
- Tap then on "Erase all content and settings".
- Enter your password for the password lock.
- Tap then on "Erase iPhone". All data will now be removed from the device.
- To finish, enter your iCloud password.
- Once the reset is complete, you will be presented with the welcome screen.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
- Tap "Restore from iCloud Backup".
- Enter your Apple ID and password.
- Then select the cloud backup you want. Restoring the backup may take a few minutes.
- Finally, enter your iCloud data again to update your settings.
