WhatsApp for PC: How to set it up

You communicate a lot via WhatsApp, but you find it annoying to type your messages on the relatively small smartphone keyboard? Then try WhatsApp for PC.

Browser: How to use WhatsApp on PC

You can open the web version of WhatsApp in your Internet browser and answer your chat messages here.

1. Call up the web version of WhatsApp. A QR code will appear here.
2. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone and go to the chat overview.
3. Tap the menu button and now select "WhatsApp Web" here.
4. Tap "Scan QR code" afterwards and scan the code on your PC screen. Now your chats appear on the PC.

Desktop client: install WhatsApp on the PC

If you do not like the browser version of WhatsApp, you can also download the messanger to your PC.

1. To do this, go to the download page of WhatsApp and download the Windows version.
2. Once the download is successfully completed, the file WhasApp.exe will open automatically. Klicken Sie diese an, um WhatsApp auf Ihrem PC zu installieren.
3. Nach der Beendigung der Installation fehlt nur noch ein letzter Schritt: Wählen Sie WhatsApp aus und scannen Sie den QR-Code mit Ihrem Smartphone.

Wenn Sie WhatsApp auf Ihrem Computer installiert haben, müssen Sie – im Gegensatz zur Browser-Version - den QR-Code nur einmal einscannen.
