How to connect to PlayStation Network?

In order to connect your PlayStation to PlayStation Network (PSN), it is first necessary to set up an Internet connection on the game console. This can be done either wired or wirelessly by using the WLAN function. To establish a wired connection, first connect the PlayStation to the router via Ethernet cable. Then navigate to "Network" > "Set up Internet connection" > "Use LAN cable" in the console's settings and select "Simple". If you want to use a wireless connection instead, go to "Settings" > "Network" > "Set up Internet connection" and select "Use Wi-Fi".

How to connect to PlayStation Network

Once you have successfully set up the Internet connection on the PlayStation, you can then connect the console to PlayStation Network. How you need to proceed depends on which console you are using.
  1. If you have a PS4, please first open the "Settings" and navigate to "Account Management" > "Sign in" in them. Then enter your login ID and password and go to "Confirm".
  2. If you are still using a PS3, logging into PlayStation Network is possible by going to "User" > "Local User" > "PlayStation Network" > "Sign In" in the XMB menu and enter your login ID and password.
