iPhone X does not turn off - how to remedy

How to turn off the iPhone X

By default, it is possible to turn off the iPhone X in two ways. First, the iPhone X can be turned off if you simultaneously press the side button and either the volume up or volume down button until the slider appears on the display. If you then move the slider to "Off", the device will shut down. On the other hand, turning off the device is also possible by going to "Settings" > "General" > "Power Off" and moving the displayed slider to the right.
