WoW: Classes in TBC Classic at a glance

With each expansion, WoW has traditionally added either a class or a race. For fans of WoW Classic, we list which classes are playable in The Burning Crusade.

No more exclusivity: in TBC Classic, shamans and paladins are playable on both sides.

Melee or ranged, magic or sword: the class selection in World of Warcraft has always been very diverse. In TBC Classic, it therefore continues without new classes.

WoW: These are the playable classes in The Burning Crusade

WoW Classic started with nine classes, but they were not available for both factions.
  • This changed with The Burning Crusade, as the Blood Elves were added on the Horde side and the Draenei on the Alliance side.
  • As a Draenei you can play as an Alliance Shaman, and as a Blood Elf you can play as a Horde Paladin.
  • New playable classes are not there with TBC Classic consequently; but the class selection on both sides is expanded.
  • It remains with TBC Classic so with the familiar selection of warrior, paladin, shaman, rogue, hunter, priest, warlock, druid and mage.
Following this rhythm, only with the next expansion Wrath of the Lich King a new class came into play, namely the death knight, which was available for both factions. Im Gegenzug gab es kein neues spielbares Volk – dieses wiederum wurde erst mit dem darauffolgenden Cataclysm eingeführt.
