KDP Select All-Stars: Ranks and bonuses at a glance

With KDP Select you make your eBooks available exclusively on Amazon. In return, higher earnings beckon, and bonuses for All-Stars are not entirely unimportant in the process. We explain the system.

For All-Stars: KDP Select compensates its top authors with staggered special payments.

Those who publish via KDP Select are entitled to special additional earnings. These are divided into ranks; success is therefore all the more rewarding.

KDP Select: This is what the so-called All-Stars earn in addition

A distinction is made between author rank and title rank:

• The author rank is based on all the pages that were read in a month in the works of an author. More eBooks published thus usually means better chances of a higher author rank.
• The title rank refers to the individual titles alone. The eBook, which was read most often in a month, consequently lands on the first title rank; possible further eBooks of the same author play no role for it.

Financially, the author rank is much more lucrative: For the ranks 1 to 10 there are 7.500 euros, from 11 to 20 there are 5,000 euros, from 21 to 30 there are 3,500, from 31 to 50 are distributed 2,500 euros each, from 51 to 100 there are 1,500 euros and for 101 to 150 there are still 500 euros for each author.The title rank is more simply staggered: Ranks 1 to 10 each receive 750 euros for the month, from 11 to 50 there are 500 euros and from 51 to 100 it is 250 euros.Obvious: With this system, Amazon improves the earnings of the Select top authors in part significantly and this should motivate even more writers to participate in the system.
