To adjust settings, take a screenshot or start a stream even during a game, Geforce Experience has its own in-game overlay. This can be opened at any time by pressing the key combination of "Alt" + "Z" on your keyboard. If you do not use the overlay, you have the option to deactivate it completely.
  1. Start Geforce Experience on your computer and open the settings of the tool by clicking on the "gear icon" in the upper right corner.
  2. In the settings, navigate to the section "In-game overlay" and move the slider to deactivate the overlay.
  3. If you want to reactivate the Nvidia in-game overlay at a later point in time, this is possible by moving the slider again.

Nvidia Geforce Experience: How to deactivate the overlay notifications

If you are only bothered by the notifications you receive as an overlay, you also have the option of deactivating only these notifications as an alternative to complete deactivation. To do this, also open the program's settings and navigate to "In-game overlay" > "Settings". There, please click on the "Notifications" option and select which notifications you do not want to receive. Finally, to apply the changes you have made, click "Done".
