E-Scooter: How to install the Lime app on your smartphone

To rent an e-scooter from the provider Lime, you need the free app of the scooter provider. This is available for both Android smartphones and iPhones. Depending on which operating system your device uses, please open the Play Store or the App Store and search there for the "Lime always mobile" app. Then select the right app from the list of results and tap the "Install" button to download it to your smartphone.

How to unlock an e-scooter with the Lime app

Once you have successfully installed the Lime app on your smartphone, you can use it to search for a free e-scooter or e-bike in your area.

1. To do this, first open the Lime app by tapping the corresponding icon in the app overview of your smartphone.
2. Nutzen die App zum ersten Mal, ist es erforderlich, dass Sie einen neuen Account anlegen und diesen mit Guthaben aufladen.
3. Anschließend können Sie die Karte in der App aufrufen und dort einsehen, wo in Ihrer Umgebung ein E-Scooter verfügbar ist.
4. Haben Sie einen Scooter gefunden, scannen Sie einfach dessen QR-Code am Lenker beziehungsweise geben Sie die ID ein, um den Roller freizuschalten und loszufahren.
