If you want to shrink the space of your Hyper-V hard disk because you don't need the size anymore, it can be flexibly adjusted to your needs. To do this, all you need is a few minutes to adjust the memory correctly.

How to shrink your Hyper-V hard disk

With the help of the virtual hard disk, you can always react spontaneously to changes and increase and also decrease the storage space accordingly.

1. To shrink your Hyper-V hard disk, first open the "Computer Management" and then navigate to the "Disk Management".
2. Now highlight the hard disk you want to shrink.
3. Right-click on it and select "Shrink Volume".
4. In the window that opens, enter the amount by which the memory should ultimately be reduced.
5. Now you will also be shown the unallocated area.
