iPhone X: Enable location services - how to do it
Location services allow applications on your iPhone X to determine where you are. This uses more data than GPS to determine your location. Allow location services only for selected applications to protect your privacy. The necessary options can be found in the settings under "Privacy".
How to use location services on iPhone X
Location services refer to a way to determine the location of a user via multiple ways. It involves using GPS, Bluetooth, access to Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers, and the location of other users in your vicinity to infer your position. Location services are thus more comprehensive than just GPS location and collect a large amount of highly sensitive data. If an app requests to allow location services, check carefully if that app is trustworthy and if requesting location services is necessary for the app to function. You can allow location services for each individual app in the settings.Enable location services for apps
