Recognizing the classic causes
In most cases, the reason for the problem is much simpler than it first appears. That's why we'll show you what to look out for.- Check plugs: Check if all plugs are properly seated and power is available.
- Hold down the power button of your Mac and disconnect all external hardware. Now try to restart your Mac again. It may be that a defective hardware is the reason for the problem.
- Perform an SMC reset by first unplugging the power cable for 15 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- If you own an older device, then remove the battery as well as the power cable and hold down the power button for five seconds.
- Alternatively, you should boot your MacBook in safe mode. Hold down the Shift key while restarting your Mac.
- In the mode, remove the drivers or login objects and then reinstall the files.
