When improving players, many factors come into play:

• In general, the younger the player, the faster he can be improved. Only from the age of 23 or 24, the development progresses much slower.
• The basic talent determines the maximum level.
• Playing practice is the most important criterion for further development for professionals, but training also counts. For youth players, it is the other way around: here the training has the greatest impact.
• Logically, the training conditions make a lot of difference: This concerns the coaching team as well as the quality of the training facilities.
• Often underestimated are the mental qualities of the players. However, these values are partly hidden. The characteristic "professional" is a good indicator of the player's will to improve. Players with little ambition, on the other hand, will have a hard time realizing their potential.

So there are many things to consider if you dream of molding an unpolished jewel into a world star - but it is precisely this realistic mapping that ultimately makes FM 2019 so appealing.
