  • The standard Kindle has a 6-inch display with front light and a resolution of 167 ppi (pixels per inch). To store the books, the Kindle is equipped with a storage capacity of 4 gigabytes. Cost-wise, the entry-level reader is 79.99 euros.
  • The next larger model is the Kindle Paperwhite, which also has a 6-inch display and front light, but has a higher resolution of 300 ppi. The internal memory is also larger at 8 or 32 gigabytes. In addition to the WLAN connection, the Paperwhite is also available with 4G. Price-wise, the Paperwhite starts at 119.99 euros.
  • The flagship Kindle e-reader is the Kindle Oasis. The reader is equipped with an illuminated 7-inch display. Like the Paperwhite, the Oasis has a resolution of 300 ppi. In terms of storage, the Oasis is available with either 8 or 32 gigabytes. In addition to WLAN and 4G, the reader also has Bluetooth. Thanks to Audible support, the Oasis can also play audio books. The entry-level price for the Kindle Oasis is 229.99 euros.

In addition to the devices from Amazon, there are also e-readers from other manufacturers. Tolino, for example, offers just as extensive a range as Amazon. In addition to subtleties in the equipment, the readers differ primarily in the supported file formats.
