If you still have an older router from Telekom, you can often continue to use it even after switching to the IP-based connection. These older Speedport models support IP technology:- If you have a Speedport Entry or Speedport Entry 2, you can continue to use it, as both router models support IP-based telephony.
- The Speedport Hybrid, which allows you to surf the Internet via DSL and the mobile standard LTE, can also be used on an IP connection.
- The same applies to the 1st generation Speedport Smart and the Speedport Smart 2. These are the predecessors of the current Speedport Smart 3, which are optimized for use with the Magenta SmartHome tariff.
- Also compatible with IP connections are the WLAN routers Speedport W 723V and W 724V, as well as Speedport W 921V and W 922V.
