Windows 10: Enable Quick Start - how it works
One of the many strengths of Windows 10 is the faster system startup compared to older Windows versions. You can even speed up the startup process with the Quick Start feature. To use it, you must first enable the corresponding function.
Windows 10: Enable Quick Start - here's how
With Quick Start enabled, Windows 10 saves an image of the operating system every time it shuts down. This is used at the next system start to speed up the boot process. To enable Quick Start, only a few steps are necessary.- Enter "Control Panel" in the Windows search box at the bottom of the taskbar and select the result of the same name.
- In the window, click "System and Security" and then "Power Options".
- In the left column, now select the entry "Select what should happen when pressing power switches".
- Followed by this, you will see the item "Enable fast startup(recommended)" in the "Shutdown settings" section.
- Make sure the option is checked and click the "Save changes" button at the bottom.
- The next time you start the system, you should register a significant improvement in the loading time.
