1. Newer movies are usually available in HD quality, while older movies are usually available in SD quality.
2. For movies and series in SD quality, you usually need a bandwidth of at least 900 kilobytes per second. For movies in HD quality, you need a minimum of 3.5 megabytes per second. You can find out whether your Internet connection offers this bandwidth via Computer Bild's speed test.
3. There are two more quality levels, namely UHD (Ultra HD) and HDR (High Dynamic Range). UHD corresponds to the common 4K and requires a minimum bandwidth of 15 megabytes per second.
