If you want to keep your system safe, it is important to always update it. For this reason, it makes sense to install all updates. If an update comes inconveniently, you do not have to install it immediately. You have the option to pause it for several days before running it.

How to pause a Windows update

When a security vulnerability is discovered, it is usually closed with the help of an update. In addition, several functions can be added to the system by an update. Windows also releases new updates at regular intervals. If you want to keep your system secure, it is important to always install updates. If you do not want to install an update at this moment, you have the option since the release of Windows 10 to pause it for up to 35 days.

1. If Windows suggests a new update or you want to prevent the installation preventively, you must first press the "Windows" icon at the bottom left.

3. Wählen Sie als nächstes die Option „Updates und Sicherheit“ aus.
