Export Jira Issues for Excel - here's how

In Jira, individual tasks and task parts are called issues. Depending on how you use the tool, an issue can be, for example, a helpdesk ticket or even a vacation request. Since Jira is typically used in software development, issues are usually features or software bugs.Using the built-in export feature, you can convert issues into different file formats. This allows you to use the data in tools other than Jira. If you want to use your Jira Issues in Excel, you need to export them in CSV format.

1. Call Jira from your browser or open the desktop application.
2. In Jira, navigate to the board or project you want to export.
3. Click "Issues" in the left navigation.
4. Klicken Sie nun oben rechts die Option „Export“ und wählen Sie über das Dropdown-Menü entweder CSV (All Fields), wenn Sie alle Issues exportieren möchten oder CSV (Current Fields), wenn nur die ausgewählten Issues exportiert werden sollen.
