iCloud: Export contacts - these steps are necessary

If you own an Apple device, it is a good idea to use Apple's cloud storage to save your data. This way, you can easily sync them across all your devices. If you want to transfer your contacts that you have stored in iCloud to another application, you can export them.

How to export your contacts from iCloud

If you want to import your contacts from iCloud to another program, you usually need them in a certain format. Often a vCard file is used. You can recognize this by the extension ".vcf". iCloud offers you a suitable function with which you can export your contacts from the cloud.

1. Go to icloud.com via the browser and log in there with your Apple data.
2. Now select the icon with the label "Contacts" in the overview.
3. Now you see an overview of all contacts.
4. Klicken Sie unten links auf das Zahnrad-Symbol, um die Einstellungen zu öffnen.
5. Wählen Sie nun die Option „Alle auswählen“, um alle Kontakte in der Liste zu markieren.
6. Klicken Sie erneut auf das Zahnrad-Symbol, um das Menü wieder zu öffnen.
7. In diesem Fall wählen Sie die Schaltfläche „vCard exportieren“ aus. Ihre Daten werden nun in eine VCF-Datei kopiert. Diese sind dennoch über iCloud abrufbar.
8. Anschließend können Sie die Datei umwandeln oder in ein anderes Programm importieren.
