Enable WLAN on Windows 8 - how to turn it on

Windows 8 is a special version of the Windows series. The operating system is visually very different from its predecessor and successor. Generally, the WLAN can be turned on quite easily. The only complicated part of the activation is the switch to a new interface.

1. Start your computer and switch to the desktop.
2. Now use the key combination [Windows] + [W] to start the Charms search.
3. Enter "Settings" and select the entry "Activate or deactivate WLAN" by clicking on it.
4. In order to access a wireless network now, you must first display all available networks.
5. Now use the key combination [Windows] + [I] to go directly to the settings.
6. Click on the WLAN icon so that you get all connections displayed.
7. By clicking on the selected network, you will be asked for the access key and then automatically connected.
