Enable HDR PS4 - how to turn on the function

HDR is an image technology that has also been usable on the PS4 for some time. However, in order to use HDR when gaming or streaming video, you need to enable the feature beforehand. You can find out how this works and what the prerequisites are for using it here.

Enable HDR on the PS4: These are the requirements

HDR has been available on the PS4 since the software was updated to version 7.0. If you are still using an older software version, you will need to perform a software update before enabling HDR. In addition, you need a 2K or 4K HDR-capable TV to use HDR and a premium HDMI cable so that the HDR picture quality can be transmitted.

How to enable the HDR function on the PS4

If the requirements are met, please connect the HDMI cable to the corresponding slot of the PlayStation 4 and connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI port of your TV.

1. Then start the PlayStation 4 as usual and open the settings menu of the game console.
