Connectinguawei P30 to PC: How to do it

To transfer, edit, and backup data, you can connect your Huawei P30 to your PC. All you need for this is a USB cable. Furthermore, however, wirelessly backing up your data via your smartphone is also possible.

Connect smartphone to PC: Instructions for Huawei P30

Connecting the Huawei P30 to your PC is easily done with a USB cable that came with the device.
  1. Turn on both your Huawei P30 and the PC you want to connect your smartphone to.
  2. Plug the micro USB head, which is the smaller and narrower plug head, into the bottom of your smartphone.
  3. Connect the other end to a free USB slot in your PC.
  4. Your PC will automatically detect the P30 and a message will pop up. If you click on it, you can directly access the folder of your smartphone to move files from there to your PC or transfer data like music from your PC to the smartphone.
If you don't see a message, you can find the smartphone folder by first opening a new explorer by pressing Windows key + E. Then click on "This PC" in the navigation bar on the left and select your Huawei P30, which is displayed here as a removable disk.

Using clouds

Alternatively to the cable connection with your PC, data can also be exchanged via cloud. For this purpose, you can use Huawei Mobile Cloud or Google Drive, for example. The apps are available on the smartphone as well as on the PC. Alternatively, you can simply call up the corresponding website in the browser on the computer.
