Sky Go on Apple TV - here's how to best proceed

Sky Go was replaced by Sky Q in 2018. So displaying Sky Go on the Apple TV is no longer possible. However, the situation is different with Sky Q, which can be made to run on an Apple TV. You will need an Apple TV of the 4th generation or newer for this.

How is Sky Q displayed on the Apple TV?

To use Sky Q on your Apple TV, you only need the corresponding app.

1. Open the App Store. You will find this as an app on your Apple TV.
2. Search for Sky Q using the search bar and install the app.
3. You can only use Sky Q if you also have a Sky Q receiver connected to the Apple TV at the same time.
4. Sky Go can currently only be streamed to the Apple TV via another device (smartphone, Mac or PC). Just use AirPlay.
5. Open a stream in the app on your Mac or computer and connect the Apple TV via HDMI to your Mac or PC.
6. Now select the Apple TV as the display screen. You use, so to speak, the Apple TV only as another screen.
