With a smartphone, you have the option of using the display in either portrait mode or landscape mode. Switching between the two modes happens randomly every now and then for most users, but it can also be selected quite specifically. However, the function has to be enabled for this beforehand.

The switch between the individual display modes is usually already enabled automatically. However, on the Huawei P Smart, you have to activate the function manually every now and then.

1. To switch between the individual modes, it is enough to rotate the smartphone via a gesture in the horizontal direction.
2. This signals via the gyroscope in the smartphone that the display should currently be used in landscape mode or but also in portrait mode.
3. To activate the function manually, first unlock your smartphone and then drag the status bar downwards from the top of the display.
4. You will find a button within the bar that is responsible for the Auto Rotate function.
5. To trigger the function via a gesture, it must be activated by tapping the button.

7. Dort befindet sich der Eintrag Bildschirmausrichtung, unter dem Sie ebenfalls die Funktion „Auto-Drehen“ aktivieren können.
