Scan with iPhone - how to use

Often it is faster to send documents to a person via email than via traditional mail. To make this possible, it is necessary to first scan the documents and save them on the computer. However, you don't need a separate scanning device for this, because you can scan with iPhone as well.

How to scan with iPhone

If you need to send your documents to another person via email, then this is usually only possible if you can scan them. In most cases, the documents are in paper form and photographing them usually reduces the resolution. But scanning documents doesn't always require an expensive scanning device. The iPhone already has a built-in function for this case.

1. Open the "Notes" app on your iPhone and create a new note.
2. Next, tap the "Camera" icon.
3. Here you then select the "Scan documents" menu option.
4. Place the document on a straight, well-lit surface and hold the smartphone so that you are looking directly at the document from above with the camera.
5. Using the "Auto" function, the document is scanned automatically. Wahlweise können Sie es auch manuell scannen.
6. Über die Ecken können Sie den Scan anschließend noch zuschneiden. Mit „Scan behalten“ wird dieser auf Ihrem Smartphone in „Dokumente“ gespeichert.
