In July 2019, Star Citizen went into alpha version 3.6. As with every major update, 3.6 brought with it some big new features. We have the overview of the exciting features.

Welcome, space smuggling: Star Citizen's Alpha 3.6 brings crime into the game.

Since the major performance update in fall 2018, Star Citizen has been able to greatly expand its community. With Alpha 3.6, players now get fresh fodder.

Star Citizen 3.6: All new features at a glance

Here is the list of new features in Star Citizen 3.6:
  • The most important feature concerns law violations and their punishment: this is about the Crimestat, which players build up through criminal actions. The higher the Crimestat, the harsher the punishment. From fines to prosecution by AI security forces, everything is possible.
  • Fittingly, smuggling and black market activities are now also possible. Thus, stolen spaceships
  • Flight physics: Close above the ground, the spaceships now hover in place.
  • Inside the ships, a voice chat was introduced, which includes all players on board.
  • As a new spaceship, the P-72 Archimedes from Kruger Intergalactic came into play. It costs 37.90 euros. This is a faster but weaker armed variant of the P-52 Merlin.
  • There is also a new vehicle for ground operations: the Anvil Ballista is the first large military vehicle. As a real tank on wheels, missiles and a gun turret are part of its arsenal.
