No Man's Sky: Farming eggs - how to earn units fast

There are numerous ways to earn units in No Man's Sky. However, some of them are not very effective, while others are. Humming eggs are among the best methods to quickly boost your account.

A lot of risk, big reward: larval cores from eggs are very lucrative.

If you fly over an abandoned building and there are lots of rotten nests with eggs around it, you can use them as a cash injection.

Summoning eggs can be easily destroyed with the mining device. Out rolls a larval core, which glows strongly and is therefore hard to miss. You can collect the core to sell it - it beckons just under 70,000 units each (depending on the star system).

• But: The larval cores can only be collected for a few seconds, then they disappear.
• Once you destroy an egg, several monsters appear and attack you. The green aliens spit poison and have fast melee attacks.
• Once you have grabbed a core, escape is highly recommended. If the eggs are scattered around a building, use the jetpack to fly quickly to the roof.
• Stay on the move above and watch the aliens. If an egg nest is currently unguarded, quickly jump down, collect one or two larval cores, and escape back to the roof.
• Optionally, you can also use the terrain manipulator to dig holes under the nests that the aliens can't fit into, but the larval cores can. This method is safer, but takes a little longer.

In the greatest need, the spaceship also provides protection. Since there are usually more than 20 eggs per infested building, you can expect one to two million units, which is a lot of money in No Man's Sky.
