Connecting Surface Pro 6 with projector - that's possible

You can watch numerous movies and videos on your Surface Pro 6. If you want to project the content onto a screen via a projector, that is also possible. For this, you need to connect your Surface Pro to the beamer and set it up. You will need the appropriate cable.

How to connect a projector to your Surface Pro 6

If you connect your Surface Pro 6 to a projector, you can project the tablet's content onto a screen. For this, you usually need an additional cable.
  1. The Surface Pro 6 has a Mini DisplayPort, which you cannot connect the connection cable to directly. Usually, an HDMI cable is used to connect the projector. For this reason, you need a suitable adapter to connect the two ports. Alternatively, an HDMI to DVI adapter can also be used for the connection.
  2. In contrast, if you want to connect an analog projector to your Surface, you will need a suitable VGA cable. Since the port on the Surface Pro 6 is missing here as well, you will need a mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. If you have to bridge a longer distance, you can use a mini-DisplayPort extension cable with a length of about 3 meters. You can already get this for under 10 euros in various specialty stores or in corresponding online stores.
