Connecting laptop to projector: It's that easy

A projector is a convenient way to show content from your laptop in a large format. With a projector, you are also more flexible than with a monitor. Typically, laptops are used to show image and sound with the beamer. The devices can be easily connected with an HDMI cable.

How to show content from laptop with projector

If you want to show photos, videos or presentations on your projector, you can connect your laptop and the projector with an HDMI cable. If one of the devices has a different connection, you can find cheap adapters on the net.

Connect beamer and laptop

1. Connect the beamer to a power source using the network cable and turn on the device
2. Connect the laptop and beamer with an HDMI cable.
3. Turn on the laptop.
4. Right-click an empty space on the desktop.
5. Select "Display Settings".
6. Under "Scale and Arrangement", select "100%" for "Resize Text, Apps, and Other Items". Diese Einstellung verstellt sich unter Umständen, wenn Laptop und Beamer unterschiedliche Auflösungen haben
