Creating HTML files - these are the options you have

If you are planning to create your own website, you rarely get around HTML. The Hypertext Markup Language is used to structure and thus build your website. In order to have it displayed by the browser, you need to create an HTML file with the appropriate tags.

How to create an HTML file

HTML is a markup language that you use to describe the basic structure of your website. In an HTML file, you write your tags that allow you to structure and customize your text and other input so that the browser can interpret it. To create an HTML file, all you need is a text editor. Each operating system already has such a program by default.

1. First you need to open the text editor.
2. Then first write the basic structure of an HTML file.
3. Now fill the individual areas with the desired text and adjust it according to your wishes.
4. Once you have finished your HTML code, click on "File" in the upper left corner and then on "Save as...".
5. Under "File type" select the option "All files". Now still specify a desired file name. It is important here that you end the name with .html. The extension indicates the type of your file. Now click on the "Save" button to confirm the process.
6. Now try to start your created file with a double click. If everything has worked, it will open in your browser.
