Take a screenshot of an entire web page: How to do it

A normal screenshot is quickly taken by pressing a key. However, it only ever captures the displayed area of a web page. To snap entire web pages, therefore, a different approach is possible.

All in the picture: via plugin you can create screenshots of entire web pages.

Sometimes the screenshot of a small screen area is not enough. In this case, handy plugins come into play.

How to take screenshots of entire web pages

There are numerous free browser plugins that perform this task. An illustrative example is provided by GoFullPage for Chrome:
  1. Install the plugin at the link provided above.
  2. Press the camera icon that appears in the plugin bar to the right of the URL line.
  3. It will now take a few seconds while the entire web page is photographed via screenshot.
  4. Afterwards, you can edit or save the screenshot. The latter is possible as a PNG or also as a PDF file.
GoFullPage is a fairly well-known and popular solution, but far from the only one. The search in the respective browser store leads to numerous results.
