Open Office: Start page number from certain page

The first page of a document should not always automatically be the first page counted when labeling with page numbers. Often there is a cover page at the very beginning, which in turn is followed by a blank page and a table of contents. Specify exactly from which page counting starts.

The easiest way to adjust it is to create a new document. If in doubt, copy your text and paste it into a new document.

1. First click into the newly created document and use the [F11] key to get into the window for style sheets.
2. There you now select the item "Page template" and make a right click on "Default". Now select "New".
3. Give the page template any name you want and click "Ok".
4. Go to the page that comes before the page that should be the first in the count and add a Manual Wrap...
5. In the new window, select the template you just created and click "Ok".
6. Nun fügen Sie eine Fußzeile auf der Seite ein und wählen erneut Ihre Vorlage aus.
7. Im nächsten Schritt klicken Sie in die Fußzeile und wechseln zu „Feldbefehl“ und „Andere“.
8. Wechseln Sie zu „Seite“, „Seitennummer“ und anschließend zu „Arabisch“.
